Lake Como boat tours: your questions
Everything you need to know before booking a private boat tour on Lake Como with Breva2L, departing from Argegno.
How much does a private boat tour on Lake Como cost?
Rates are per boat, not per person: 1 hour €250, 2 hours €450, 3 hours €650 and 4 hours €850. Soft drinks and a bottle of Prosecco with snacks are always included. The final price is confirmed personally before you book.
Where do the boat tours depart from?
All tours start from our private mooring in Argegno, on the western shore of Lake Como. We meet in front of the main church, Piazza Giovanni Grandi 2, Argegno (CO): the boat pier is right next door. Argegno has plenty of parking, especially in the morning.
How many people can come on board?
The modern twin-engine boat carries up to 7 guests; the classic wooden boat up to 4 guests. Every tour is private: only your group on board, with a local captain, Luca or Luigi.
Which boat tours do you offer?
A Perfect Taste of Lake Como (1 hour: Orrido di Nesso, Villa del Balbianello, Isola Comacina), The Glamour Villas (2 hours: Brienno, Villa Oleandra, Villa d’Este, Villa Erba, Torno, Orrido di Nesso), Magic Villas e Gardens (2 hours: Isola Comacina, Villa del Balbianello, Villa Carlotta, Varenna, Bellagio) and The Dream Tour (4 hours, our most complete itinerary). We also build custom routes.
Can I see George Clooney’s villa from the boat?
Yes. The Glamour Villas tour sails past Villa Oleandra, George Clooney’s summer residence, as well as Villa Fontanelle, Villa d’Este and Villa Erba. All villas are admired from the water.
Do the tours include stops on land or villa tickets?
Villas, gardens and villages are admired from the boat: tours do not include visits on land or entrance tickets. On The Dream Tour a lunch stop at a selected lakeside restaurant can be arranged on request; timing and restaurant cost are agreed separately.
How long should I book?
One hour is a great taste of the lake, but we recommend at least 2 hours to enjoy Lake Como without rushing. The 4-hour Dream Tour covers Bellagio, Varenna, the villas of the Tremezzina and the southern lake in one trip.
Can you create a custom tour?
Yes. Tell us how long you want to spend on the water and we build the itinerary with you: an aperitif on board at dusk, a drop-off at a lakeside restaurant in the evening or a picnic on the boat with local delicacies.

What happens if the weather is bad?
Tours depend on weather and lake conditions. We check the forecast and confirm every detail directly with you before departure; the route can also be adapted to the conditions on the day.
What should I bring?
Sunglasses, sun protection and a light layer for the breeze on the water. For special requirements or accessibility questions, contact us before sending your request.

Which Lake Como legends do the captains tell on board?
Among our favourites: Isola Comacina, the only island of Lake Como, and the legends linking it to the Holy Grail; Fiumelatte near Varenna, one of the shortest rivers in Italy, which flows from spring to autumn and disappears in the colder months; and Villa Pliniana in Torno, with the intermittent spring described by Pliny and studied by Leonardo.
